RED BULL SOAP BOX RACE

Red Bull Soapbox races are not to be missed. Full of daring turns, crazy drops and sharp competition, contestants are taking to the streets of Los Angeles for this exciting race next Saturday?
And did I mention you can watch the whole race FREE to watch. This is definitely a Los Angeles Deal!
This isn't your kids soapbox race either. From years past winners have to prove they can haul butt as quick as possible and bring some skills to the table, all in the name of fun. Designs will be colorful, the speed will be fast and everyone who watches will be excited!
40-50 Teams will be competing downtown and they will be judged on speed, creativity and showmanship. Now what are you going to be seeing? This isn't your typical soapbox derby so expect to see the unexpected. From zany costumes to crazy looking out of this world contraptions, in years past the contestants have been featured in all sorts of magazines.
Make sure you bring a camera to take pictures of the race, the costumes and the contraptions. Don't be surprised if the kids want to enjoy a few photos with the drivers too. This is a family event so bring everyone! Add to that the wackiness of what you might see and you have a family day to have some fun without spending a dime!
To find the starting line (and a good location) check out the Red Bull Soapbox Race Online Information. The Day of the Race is September26! Currently Red Box is advising everyone to come down and take a look at the pits (just think car pits like NASCAR) and watch the race at 1pm. The race starts at 5th and Grand yet the details of where everyone can stand have yet to be released.
Take a look at the Slide show to see contestants from the past. Every year new contestants arrive so don't expect to see the same thing twice.
